Remember that stolen car?
So a car got stolen a few weeks ago. So we finally got a new one. Not a bad one either.

The stolen car turned up the very next day.

Well, I ain't complaining, but MAN. GEEZ.

The only stolen car my family's had to deal with (since I've been alive) was a 1981 Toyota Corolla 2 door, in 2000. At the time we had that one and a Tercel hatchback that took every chance to break down it could. I ended up having to cut my special out-of-district arts high school time to just my freshman year because one crappy car wasn't enough.

Then after 6 or 8 months or so, the Corolla was found, terribly dusty, in a parking garage on the rich side of the city, battery dead, and the already broken cassette deck and front speakers carefully removed. We think it was taken on a joyride and perhaps someone else jacked the stereo stuff. We're glad they wasted their time on it. And because the car was a dinosaur anyway, nobody figured to take it the other 5 miles across the U.S./Mexico border and strip it down like so many other cars.

So much for NIMBYism... the rich people sure seemed to tolerate it for a long time.

I think my parents donated the Tercel to some charity a year or two after that, then junked the Corolla a few months ago because it wouldn't pass smog. Given the choice of paying to make it pass or getting paid by the state so they could smash it, they took the check.

OK, I'll admit that you could return the new car, or keep them both, or something boring like that. But, I'm going to tell you what you want to do with them. You now have two cars, maning you can now do your own, at-home version of Mythbusters. Set them up on a track and drive them into each other, to see if they explode or flip or something. It'll be awesome. Totally worth $20,000+. Also, videotape it and put it on the YouTube, that I may watch for free. This might not seem like a good deal, but, remember, from earlier in the paragraph, this is what you want to do. So, get cracking.

I just discovered the return of EOI. It was one of my favorite comics for a long time, and I was sad to see it go. Thanks so much for brining it back!

Totally off-topic (I thought you were going to put the EOI news posts in here!):

I liked this storyline a lot, but I cannot wait for the humor to come back. You did a fantastic job, though, especially since it is not the norm for EOI. And even though it's so soap opera-ish, I can't wait for the "ugly truths" to come out -- why on earth does Woot hate Megan? Is he still sore about their relationship? I MUST KNOW!

I meant to commend you on how you used Herman, since it had only been hinted at that she is really a girl once, and onlt mentioned in passing a couple of times that she and Megan are (were?) roommates. So, even though you drew her in the PA crossover, it still wasn't clear and that was pretty cool.

That said, April looked super cute in the first panel.

And I can't wait until you win the Grind. I just hope it keeps you motivated so we get more EOI.

Yeah, having something like that happen sounds about right. I know I've had to steal back a friend's car before...but that was with us towing it away with my truck.

In a way, that stinks. However, on the other hand, remember that horrible week when your car originally got stolen? Well, both of the things that majorly went wrong have been reversed. So be happy; that doesn't happen often. :)

Oh, also, I've come back to the comic after someome alerted me to its revival. Part of me is sad that the archaic chat room RPG theme is no more, but the humor lives on, which makes me happy.

Okay, enough off-topic. Stay cool man. Or whatever superior alternative to coolness you now command.

Here's my new theory:

Woot still thinks Herman is a guy and is jealous. Because if he knew April was a girl, he wouldn't be angry that they seem like they're dating.

This is completely off topic, but - BEST XMAS COMIC EVAR.

Can you do a Lord Elf card? My god, the mutton-ale douchebag dance is just what I need to send people. That background shot was amazing. If you ever want to sell that art, let me know.

Hope you guys had the best holiday.
